City of Parksville and CUPE 401 Agree to Three-year Collective Agreement
City of ParksvillePARKSVILLE - The City of Parksville and the Canadian Union of Public Employees, Local 401 (CUPE 401) reached a three-year collective agreement effective January 1, 2023.
The new three-year agreement covers the period from January 1, 2023, to December 31, 2025, and affects all City of Parksville CUPE 401 workers. This new agreement provides for a general pay rate increase of 4% effective January 1, 2023, 4% effective January 1, 2024, and 3.5% increase effective January 1, 2025.
The City and CUPE reached a tentative agreement on January 26. The agreement was ratified by CUPE members on February 7 and approved by Council on February 12.
