Are you responsible for the property taxation function in your municipality?
This monthly webinar series covers the material presented at the GFOABC Boot Camp over a one year period on a monthly basis.

This webinar is offered in a "once-a-month" format where each session deals with aspects of taxation that are topical for that month. All important aspects of taxation and assessment are covered.  Registration will be for a full year.  The webinar will be held on the third Wednesday of each month at 10:00 am Pacific time. Participants from previous years are welcome to re-subscribe to stay up to date with the latest legislation and practices.

WORKSHOP OBJECTIVES:
The objective of this webinar series is to provide participants with a comprehensive overview of municipal finance issues with a focus on providing “real-life", practical information that can immediately be applied in a municipal setting.
 
WHO SHOULD ATTEND:
This webinar series is designed for finance people working in, or responsible for, the taxation function in local government finance departments. It will also be of interest to auditors, assessors and others who are interested in how the taxation function works.

BENEFITS OF ATTENDING:
Presented as a series of one hour webinars from the comfort of your own office for just 1 hour per month, participants will understand the issues involved in assessing, calculating and collecting taxes in an average size municipality in British Columbia. The material will be presented based on the assessment and taxation calendar and will be relevant to the specific time of year.

Recordings are sent out following each webinar to attendees and absentees. Late registrations will receive all handouts and recordings to date.
