This paper describes the evolving relationship between the Matsqui Indian Band and the municipality on a number of issues of mutual concern. A particular challenge was in balancing the rights and aspirations of the Band with the municipality's desire to avoid land use conflicts and the need to be compensated for services to the reserve.
