BC Climate Action Toolkit

Green Communities Canada
Link: View Link
The online toolkit provides local governments with updated news, best practices and practical advice to help them reduce greenhouse gas emissions and implement their Climate Action Charter commitments. The toolkit also provides guidance and resources to support local governments to take a more integrated approach to planning that will lead to more resilient, complete, compact and livable communities.
Central to the toolkit are databases of policies/actions/tools; guides; programs; training; and funding opportunities for climate change planning, organized by topic. A “big picture” section outlines the background, rationale, business case, and role of local governments in climate action planning.
The site also acts as a venue for sharing and collaboration, with links to practitioners, BC government staff and resources, success stories, events and working groups.
Users can also sign up on the site for a quarterly e-newsletter with the latest updates. A search function makes it easy to find resources quickly.
