The intent of the Extreme Temperature Risk Mapping, Assessment, and Planning funding stream is to support eligible applicants to ensure they have accurate knowledge of the risks associated with extreme temperatures, and how these risks will change over time, and to develop effective response plans and strategies to prepare, mitigate, and adapt to those risks.
Eligibility
All First Nations (bands and Treaty First Nations) and local governments (municipalities and regional districts) and in BC are eligible to apply. Eligible applicants can submit one application per intake, including regional applications or participation as a partnering applicant in a regional application.
Funding
The Extreme Heat Risk Mapping, Assessment and Planning funding stream can contribute a maximum of 100% of the cost of eligible activities to a maximum of $30,000.How to Apply
