Source Water: Protection Toolkit

Posting Date: September 1, 2021
Year Published: 2021
Abstract:
The Source Water Protection Toolkit was crafted by a committee of consultants, water suppliers, provincial and federal regulators, health agencies, and Indigenous organizations to simplify the source protection planning process, and to inspire a more holistic approach to drinking water management. It compiles the most recent research, guidance, and case studies on how to prepare a source protection plan, organize and lead a technical advisory committee, secure long-term funding, develop bylaws, educate and engage the public, and collect and report on water data.
