SCOPE 
This is an advanced level of professional work related to the coordination, supervision and delivery of park structural services within the City’s inventory of park structural assets.

EMPLOYMENT STATUS
Union - CUPE Local 402 - Regular Full-Time

RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Supervising a dedicated team of professional staff
  • Consulting with local community representatives, as well as government and non-government agencies.
  • Assist with the preparation and implementation of annual work plans, structural renovation projects and contracts.
  • Other duties include supervision of contractors, collaboration with consultants, and assisting in recruitment and training.

 
The successful candidate will possess highly developed oral and written communications skills, advanced facilitation and conflict resolution skills, along with demonstrated consultation, program planning, team leadership and training skills. A comprehensive knowledge of the principles, practices, methods, standards, guidelines and materials used in the maintenance and construction of park structural facilities and park features. The successful candidate will have highly developed public relations and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to make independent decisions and exercise sound judgment while performing the duties of the position.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Graduation from a recognized university, college or technical institute with five years related experience or graduation from a recognized vocational school complete with a trade qualification and a combination of knowledge and experience.
  • Valid B.C. Driver’s License with a safe driving
  • Be able to successfully pass a Police Information Check/Vulnerable Sector Check

$47.52
