Temporary Labourer
BASIS: FULL TIME FOR 14-16 WEEKS, COMMENCING MAY 21 | CLOSING: MAY 10, 2024 4:30 PM
Responsible for assisting the Civic Works Department with various tasks related to manual labour in the City.
Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the Working Foreperson, the temporary Labourer is responsible for performing manual labour in the installation and maintenance of city services. This position performs routine maintenance in parks, playgrounds, boulevards, cemetery, water & sewer excavations and landscaped areas throughout the City.
Qualifications
The successful candidate will have completed Grade 12 or GED, the physical ability to carry out the duties of the position as described and a valid BC Class 5 Driver’s Licence. This position is a CUPE Local 2262 position attracting an hourly rate of $34.72/hr plus 10% in lieu of benefits.
