The District of Summerland is one of five municipalities in BC that owns and operates its Electrical Utility. Summerland purchases electrical energy from the transmission system wholesaler and sells that energy to residents through the Electrical Utility’s distribution system. The power system utilizes a system voltage level of 8kV which will be upgraded to 25kV over time. The District requires a Supplier or Suppliers to provide a number of electrical distribution transformers:

The District intends to contract with the Supplier that offers the lowest total cost of ownership for each inventory item.

RFQ documents are available for no charge via the District of Summerland website at summerland.ca/bids.

In order to be considered, Quotations must be submitted using BC Bid eBid electronic bid submission. Respondents are urged to contact BC Bid customer support as required in advance of submitting a response to ensure they are registered with BC Bid, have a BC Bid eBid subscription and eBid ‘key’, and are familiar with the eBid submission requirements and procedures. The District shall not be responsible for incomplete or misdirected Quotations due to electronic technical problems arising out of Respondent’s use of BC Bid eBid submission.

Quotations submitted in any other manner will be disqualified.
