The Saskatchewan Assessment Appraisers Association (SAAA) is a professional association of property assessment professionals. The SAAA has origins dating back to 1939. In November of 2002, the SAAA was legislated as a self-governing body under The Assessment Appraisers Act. We are an association that focuses on our membership who have an interest in property assessment valuation.
Our members consist primarily of professional appraisers who either hold licenses to practice assessment or are striving towards obtaining their accreditation. The Licensed Assessment Appraiser of Saskatchewan (LAAS) designation is recognized as a license required to practice assessment in Saskatchewan.
The SAAA regulates and promotes the best practices of assessment Professionals in Saskatchewan, provides professional development and promotes the highest forms of ethical conduct. The SAAA is also an affiliate member of the Interprovincial Professional Property Assessors of Canada(IPPAC) and the International Association of Assessing Officers(IAAO).
