Operations Superintendent
North Salt Spring Waterworks District is seeking an Operations Superintendent
Located in the beautiful Southern Gulf Islands, Salt Spring Island is a vibrant, active rural community and a great place to live. Surrounded by the Salish Sea, the area offers a year-round mild climate with a broad selection of pursuits for the outdoor enthusiast. Amenities and services include excellent elementary and secondary schools, a hospital, library, renowned arts and culinary options, and health and wellness retreats. Greater Victoria and the Cowichan Valley are both just a short ferry ride away.
The Operations Superintendent plays a key role in ensuring the continuance of high-quality drinking water production and distribution. The District supplies surface water from St Mary and Maxwell Lakes. A level IV DAF plant and a complex level IV distribution and reservoir system convey water to approximately 5,600 full time residents. Plans are underway to construct an additional DAF water treatment for the Maxwell system.
Depending on qualifications, the wage for this position is $105,255.00 to $115,315.00 annually and is overtime eligible.
