The Information Technology (IT) Department has an exciting opportunity for a Project Business Analyst (Business Analyst 3) to join the Business Relationship Management (BRM) team. This Business Analyst 3 position supports Enterprise Resource Planning and Digital Services initiatives (ERP). It exists within a modern workplace that enjoys extended health and dental benefits, a pension program, and in-house professional and leadership development. This role is responsible for detailed business analysis, outlining problems, designing, configuring and deploying modern solutions across a number of critical projects in the IT portfolio to digitize and automate business processes, and to modernize our ERP applications; providing guidance to junior staff; coordinating activities supporting the sustainment of applications; establishing performance metrics; identifying significant issues and overseeing the development of solutions and/or workarounds; ensuring vendors provide adequate services to support projects or systems. You will interact with Project Managers and cross-functional project teams performing a number of activities such as identifying all appropriate stakeholders regarding interfaces; ensures the delivery of required functionality; coordinates unit tests and module walkthroughs to assess the quality of the coding; leads user departments in adopting business process change; shares best practices; conducts gap and capabilities analyses; prepares and maintains a variety of reports and records including business processes, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and business cases; performs research, information assembly, organization and facilitation of business workshops and related documentation; acts as a liaison between client departments, project teams and vendors; establishes and maintains effective working relationships; assists in project management activities and the preparation of status reports. Performs other related work as required.

Qualifications include completion of a university degree at the Bachelor’s level in Computer Science, Business Administration or a related discipline and considerable experience in systems analysis at the senior level, or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Considerable knowledge of problem definition and analysis applicable to business processes and systems planning; of IT and business strategic roadmaps; of administrative principles and practices. The role requires considerable experience implementing SaaS and COTS products in a hybrid of business solutions. Also required is significant experience as a digital strategist implementing data-driven digital service initiatives or of large-scale Cloud based ERP transformation. Knowledge of business processes and configuration of SAP’s cloud ERP system is highly desired, as is considerable experience with Financial systems and business processes. Professional Certifications such as CBAP, IIBA, PMI-PBA and experience with Process Modelling, Cost Benefit Analysis, Lean Six Sigma, Project Management, and Change Management will be an asset.
