Directional Drilling – 2024 OKL Sewer - Longacre
Invitation to Proponents
This Request for Proposals (the “RFP”) is an invitation by The Corporation of the City of Vernon (the “City”) to prospective proponents to submit proposals for:
General contracting and construction services for the Okanagan Landing Sewer 2024 Directional Drilling. A summary of the specific work items includes the following (summary of approx. quantities):
- 612m of Sanitary Sewer Gravity Main HDPE by Horizontal Directional Drill, 200mm DR17;
- 290m pilot drill at <1.5% in preparation of potential sanitary sewer installation, after confirmation of adequate grades in pilot drill;
- Another 290m of Sanitary Sewer Gravity Main HDPE by Horizontal Directional Drill, 200mm DR17 (Optional Works);
- One (1) Sanitary Sewer tie-ins including excavation, backfill and restoration (not including paving works);
- CCTV Inspection of sewer mains;
- Import backfilling and locates (Optional Works);
- 30m of Sanitary Sewer Gravity Main HDPE by Horizontal Directional Drill, through rock, 200mm DR17 (Optional Works.)

Bid Submission:
Proposal together with all other attachments as identified in the RFP “Submission of Proposals”, to be uploaded to the City of Vernon procurement portal (Bonfire)

Note that any questions being submitted are only available for viewing by the City of Vernon. Should questions arise that result in answers that have a material value to the project, they will be issued via an addendum for all proponents to view.
The City of Vernon reserves the right to accept or reject all or part of any proposal, and to accept the Proposal in total or in part, or to accept the Proposal which it deems most favourable in the interest of the City of Vernon.
