Duncan and CUPE Local 358 Ratify Contract Settlement
Council for the City of Duncan and the City of Duncan Union members have both ratified a Memorandum of Settlement between CUPE Local 358 and the City of Duncan. The four year agreement covering January 2010 to December 2013 includes wage increases of 2.25%, 2.25%, 2.5% and 2.5% respectively per year.

The City of Parksville waived approximately $274,773 in municipal fees and development cost charges for the project. The Regional District of Nanaimo waived $109,896 in development cost charges. The Parksville Lions Housing Society provided the land valued at $635,000.
