Detailed Description:
Since 2014, through the leadership of our asset management steering committee and guided by our asset management policy, the City of Burnaby has completed asset
management plans across a diverse range of City services (ie. sewer, water, fire, IT, facilities, sportsfields, playgrounds, etc .. ), and is in the midst of drafting asset
management plans for the remaining areas (ie. library, roads, fleet, etc .. ). These asset management plans have been presented to Burnaby City Council, and incorporated into
short and long-term planning. Burnaby has also developed a detailed GIS infrastructure risk model to support planning and decision-making, as well as a thorough city-wide
training program to ensure continued asset management excellence.
