Climate change will continue to have significant impacts on Canada’s water resources. This guide is a compendium of tools to enable technical experts, planners and managers to develop climate change vulnerability assessments of water quality and quantity at the watershed scale. The guide defines vulnerability in the watershed context, vulnerability assessments, and the rationale for their use. The bulk of the guide first summarizes and then describes in detail, various tools for selecting climate scenarios, assessing exposure, sensitivity, and adaptive capacity, and tools for supporting vulnerability assessments. The guide concludes with five case studies from both within Canada and worldwide.
