Town of Qualicum Beach and CUPE Reach Agreement

Town of Qualicum Beach

QUALICUM BEACH - The Town of Qualicum Beach and Canadian Union of Pubic Employees (CUPE) Local 401 are pleased to announce that we have concluded collective bargaining and have put in place a three-year collective agreement that provides stability for both the Municipality and the workforce.

Terms of the agreement ratified by Council and the CUPE Local 401 Qualicum Beach members on July 4, 2018 cover the period July 1, 2018 to June 30, 2021. The agreement includes increases to some of the annual limits on extended health benefits and wage increases of 2% in each year of the agreement. The monetary agreement is consistent with other recent CUPE municipal settlements on Vancouver Island. -
