North Coast Regional District Announces New Website Launch

North Coast Regional District

PRINCE RUPERT - The North Coast Regional District (NCRD) has unveiled its new corporate website. The new website has a clean and uncluttered design, improved functionality and enhanced rich content focused on the residents the NCRD serves. The new website went live on January 31, 2018 and is located at a new address: www.ncrdbc.com.

The new website makes up just one component of a comprehensive rebranding initiative undertaken by the NCRD throughout 2015 to present, which included public and stakeholder consultation through to the development of new logos and various other marketing collateral in support of the corporate name change from the Skeena-Queen Charlotte Regional District to the North Coast Regional District. The NCRD has been working with award-winning Upanup Studios out of Victoria, B.C. to develop these materials and the newly launched website.

The goal of the website redesign was to modernize the look and feel, and make the website more useable, professional and adaptable. The NCRD website has been developed to provide more information and interactivity for and with residents, visitors and the general public who live, work or play within the north coast.

“The North Coast Regional District has optimized the use of our website to facilitate better communications with all residents and audiences,” says NCRD Chair Barry Pages. “We want to ensure we are providing a website with thorough and current information that will serve our residents’ needs.”

Some of the key features of the new website include improved navigation, search engine optimization, enhanced internal search capabilities, mobile device compatibility, and is compatible with all major browsers while in a user-friendly layout.

Among other purposes, the NCRD is using the website to provide bylaw information, departmental information and updates, NCRD news and events as well as emergency preparedness communications.
