Community Gaming Grants (community not-for-profits)
Community Gaming Grant Branch - BC GovernmentThe Community Gaming Grant program distributes $140 Million annually from commercial gambling revenue to not-for-profit community organizations throughout British Columbia.
The program provides all eligible not-for-profit community organizations in the province with access to funding for the delivery of approved programs in their community. Although municipal governments are not eligible for grants, they can work with local not-for-profits to support their programming and application.

- The Community Gaming Grant program distributes $140 million annually to eligible community organizations across British Columbia.
- Over 5,000 community organizations from across the province receive funding each year.
- The program provides funding up to $100,000 for local organizations, $225,000 for regional organizations and $250,000 for provincial organizations.
- Grants are provided for programming in six sectors. Each sector has its own intake date:
- Arts and Culture: February 1 to April 30
- Sport: March 1 to May 31
- Parent Advisory Councils: April 1 to June 30
- Environment: July 1 to August 31
- Public Safety: July 1 to August 31
- Human and Social Services: August 1 to November 30th
- Each year, $5 million is allocated to the Capital Project Sector program. This funding helps not-for-profits to invest in equipment, vehicles, infrastructure, renovations or new facilities that provide direct benefit to their communities. The Capital Project program will be open from June 1 to July 31 in 2019.
