Prevention of Human Trafficking and Sexual Exploitation

Up to $1 million will be available to support local crime prevention efforts throughout the province in 2012-13. The funding will support projects aimed at preventing youth involvement in crime, combating human trafficking and sexual exploitation, preventing family violence and violence against women, and community crime prevention.

One-time grant funding of $5,000-$25,000 (per project) is now available for community projects that prevent and address human trafficking and/or sexual exploitation. 

Funds are being distributed by the Civil Forfeiture Office in partnership with the Victim Services and Crime Prevention Division (VSCPD), Ministry of Justice.  Funding is one-time in nature only.

VSCPD will be accepting funding applications by e-mail no later than 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday December 12, 2012.  Incomplete and/or late applications will not be considered.
