Clean Energy for Rural and Remote Communities

Description

The Clean Energy for Rural and Remote Communities Program supports project proposals that contribute to Indigenous-led climate action, to economic development, to pollution reduction, and to job creation. This program has received an additional $300 million in funding until 2027.

Eligibility

To be eligible for this program, applicants must:

  • Be a First Nations, Inuit and Métis communities, governments, development corporations and organizations;
  • Canadian businesses and not-for-profit organizations; or
  • Provincial, territorial, regional or municipal government organizations.

Funding

This program has no maximum funding limit. However, the program has a total of $300 million in funding to be distributed
