Information Technology Department is seeking a SAP HCM Payroll Analyst (Business Analyst 2) who provides SAP HR/Payroll technical services to the City’s Human Resource and Payroll business teams.
The ideal candidate will have configuration experience in SAP HCM modules including Payroll and/or Time Management. In project and sustainment activities, this role maintains strong working relationships with business and is responsible for defining technical solutions to achieve desired business outcomes. The incumbent is responsible for detailed design, development and configuration recommendations for solutions within the SAP HR/Payroll modules and ensures solution designs meet IT standard and procedure definitions for applications. Exercises considerable independent judgement and action in performing systems maintenance tasks and may perform additional related tasks as required.
Qualifications include Completion of Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related discipline and SAP HCM configuration skills with extensive knowledge and experience in Payroll configuration and issue resolution, or an equivalent combination of training and experience, are required. The ideal candidate will have experience in payroll configuration including wage types, schema and rule changes, year-end processing, support packs etc. The role requires knowledge of HR/Payroll business processes and the associated development/configuration of those business processes in SAP. Experience with some or all of the following SAP Human Capital Management modules; (i.e. PA, OM, PD, BN, Time Management/Time Evaluation & schemas, CATS, Payroll - Canadian gross/net & schemas). Knowledge of integration between HR and other SAP modules and/or external systems, HR functionality within MSS/ESS and Success Factors is beneficial as is experience with concurrent employment. Experience with ABAP programming for HR modules is an asset, as is experience working in SAP ERP 6.0 EHP7, NetWeaver 7.3 and Enterprise Portal 7.5. The ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing, to work well within a team environment and independently with little supervision is required.
