Building Services Supervisor

Reporting to the Building Services Manager, the Building Services Supervisor is responsible for managing a team of tradespersons and contractors to support a comprehensive preventive maintenance, repair, and servicing program for City buildings, facilities, and leased spaces. The position requires an accountable and competent leader that can build a highly skilled team, focused on providing great service and ensuring all health, safety, and regulatory requirements are being achieved to protect themselves, co-workers, the public, and corporate assets.

The successful candidate will have completed a building or architectural technology diploma or equivalent relevant post-secondary education (e.g. interprovincial trades certification), and have a minimum of three year’s related management experience, with excellent communications, customer service, people, and project management skills to lead and support staff and build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. The Building Owners and Managers Institute (BOMI) Facilities Management Administrator Designation would be a benefit.
