Summer Day Camp Leaders

We are looking for enthusiastic, high energy candidates who have experience working in a day camp setting or extensive experience working with children and youth ages 6 – 15 and are available to work June 24 through August 23, 2019 in our full day camp program. Working under the supervision of the Recreation Coordinator, the Summer Day Camp Leaders provide direct leadership, instruction and supervision in a varied and comprehensive program for children ages 6 – 15 years in the area of leisure, hobbies, sports, performing arts, culture, fitness, socialization and outdoor activities. The summer camp program is facilitated both on‐site and off‐site and some candidates will be required to drive groups of children to off‐site venues in vehicles supplied by the City.


  • Applicants must be available to work June 24 through August 23, 2019 between the hours of 8am and 6pm Monday to Friday;
  • Applicants must have valid Emergency First Aid or equivalent first aid certificate;
  • Applicants must have a valid Class 5 BC drivers license;
  • Applicants must have previous experience working with children.

The City of Delta provides a competitive salary of $22.48 per hour + 12% in lieu of benefits. Interested applicants are requested to apply online at, to competition #19-36 EX by February 22, 2019.
