Protective Services Admin


The District of Lake Country is seeking a full-time Protective Services Admin to join their team.  The Protective Services Admin is responsible providing general information to the public; providing clerical and research services for the Emergency Services department, tracking files, and handling the records management and mail systems in a knowledgeable, courteous and efficient manner for both internal and external customers.  The Protective Services Admin maintains the correspondence and data entry of the Protective Services Department.  The Protective Services Admin must be knowledgeable in the functions of Emergency Services and have general knowledge all municipal functions. This position will provide duties of a Paid On Call (POC) Firefighter for Lake Country and to ensure a constant state of readiness.

The normal work week is 35 hours Monday through Friday.

The preferred candidates will have a minimum of one year toward a college diploma in office administration, business administration, public administration or related field.  A minimum of one year experience is required in municipal setting. Additional requirements include Certified Fire Fighter 1 & 2 (IFSAC or ProBoard accredited), valid first aid and CPR ticket and a valid BC Driver’s Licence with a clean drivers abstract. The hourly rate of pay for this unionized position is between $26.70/hr and $31.78/hr (2019 rates).
