Manager, Administrative Services
Salary Range: $90,183 - $103,489
Reporting to the Director Parks, Recreation & Culture, this position is responsible for the organization, implementation, supervision and evaluation of the administrative services required to successfully support the Parks, Recreation and Culture’s department’s service and program functions.
This position works closely with the Director and other Managers in the coordination of the Parks, Recreation and Culture’s budget process and is responsible for providing accurate financial information, maintaining proper internal municipal controls, supervising accounting and reception services, coordinating the department’s requirements for computerized systems, as well as various administrative projects as required.
Qualifications include a university degree in a relevant discipline and/or accounting designation and demonstrated analytical, supervisory and administrative skills at a senior level. The successful candidate will have solid budgeting and accounting experience, preferably in a municipal leisure service setting, and familiarity with computer systems in relation to municipal accounting and departmental functions. Supervisory experience in a unionized work setting would also be an asset.
This is a fast paced, dynamic work environment in which excellent organizational skills, self-initiative, and good judgement come into play to administer the department’s day-to-day and long term activities.
