Temporary Full-Time and Auxiliary


The City of North Vancouver - Police Administration Department requires a temporary full-time Police Clerk (Front Counter) for approximately 7 months, and several auxiliaries to work at the RCMP Detachment.

You will provide information and assistance to the public, handle complaints and inquiries at the counter and by telephone; explain rules, regulations and procedures within prescribed limits; compile and process Police Information Checks, various permits, records and reports; process found property; operate CPIC, PRIME, and other programs and related equipment as required; process various clerical assignments; take non-criminal fingerprints, and perform related work as required.

You should have general clerical and typing experience; the ability to type at a net speed of 40 words per minute, with the ability to deal courteously, firmly and tactfully with the public.  Related experience, preferably within a municipal or law enforcement environment, would be an asset.

You will be required to obtain and maintain an RCMP security clearance as a condition of ongoing employment.

$24.81 to $29.16 per hour
(Pay Grade 15 – January 2018 rates)

Hours of Work:
Any consecutive 7 hours between 8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m., exclusive of an unpaid one hour meal break, any five (5) consecutive days of seven.
