Casual Arena Maintenance Workers
The City of Nanaimo is seeking Casual Arena Maintenance Workers (Zamboni Operators). Incumbents will perform ice resurfacing; monitor the Arena’s physical plant and maintain building security; janitorial maintenance; handyman duties and assist the public in their use of the facilities.
Applicants will have completed Grade 12, and have the following qualifications:
- Building Service Worker - Level 1
- 5th Class Power Engineers Refrigeration Certificate
- Minimum 6 months’ related experience
- Satisfactory Criminal Record Check
These are unionized positions, $30.38 to $31.98 per hour (Jan 2018 Rate). There are no guaranteed hours associated with these positions.
