HRIS and Talent Acquisition

We are seeking a dynamic, experienced HRIS and Talent Acquisition Specialist to complement our team of HR professionals. Reporting to the Director Human Resources and Corporate Planning, the HRIS and Talent Acquisition Specialist will be responsible for developing databases, modernizing service delivery and capturing meaningful KPIs for sensitive human resource matters, and using this information to make decisions and recommendations on talent acquisition, labour relations, health and safety and organizational development.

In addition to managing HRIS, this position will be responsible for senior management talent acquisition and employment branding strategies. Our ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and facilitation skills, business acumen, critical thinking and strong problem solving ability and a passion towards delivering excellent customer service. Utilizing your proven ability to establish and maintain stakeholder relationships, you will bring a collaborative approach towards achieving the organization’s goals and objectives and executing the organization’s HR2020 Strategy. This position requires experience working in PeopleSoft, HireDesk, or similar HRIS systems and using these systems to facilitate the organizations ability to make strategic decisions regarding its workforce and human resource services.

This position will play a key role in identifying and implementing areas of opportunity to improve existing HRIS processes, functionality and work flow, and in maximizing technological capabilities to reduce manual processes, improving data management and efficiency across the organization in relation to human resources. It will work in collaboration with client departments to assess business function needs, identify and analyze options and recommend business process enhancements to drive organizational effectiveness.

We are seeking someone with a bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or Business Administration, five to seven years of relevant experience, and a Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR) designation. Due to the impact of this position across the human resources function, the position requires an in-depth understanding of human resources processes, labour relations, talent acquisition strategies, and HRIS systems.
