Clerk Typist 3

Applications are invited for Casual Clerk Typist 3 for various Departments at Langley City. Casual assignments provide coverage for vacation, illness and other absences. It is anticipated that most assignments will be during the period May through September with limited assignments during the remainder of the year. The successful candidate will have flexible availability for varying assignments. This administrative role may be assigned secretarial, receptionist and clerical tasks. Duties include providing customer service to the public, community organizations and internal stakeholders.
RATE OF PAY: Pay Grade 12: $26.37 to $27.40 per hour
HOURS OF WORK: Up to 35 hours per week
(Will vary according to need and length of assignment)
(Generally the hours of operation are Monday to Friday 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.)
Casual employees are paid 12.5% of their regular earnings in lieu of benefits and paid vacation.
The successful candidate will have completed grade 12 supplemented by business courses and several years of clerical experience or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Previous experience in local government is desired. Familiarity with municipal services and software programs such as Microsoft Office, Tempest, Unit 4 (Agresso), eDocs DM Document Management Systems and Active Net are desired. R.C.M.P Secure Reliability Clearance or the willingness to obtain one is also desired.
