Recreation Cashier

We are currently accepting applications for a regular full-time Recreation Cashier.
 
NATURE AND SCOPE OF THE WORK       
The Recreation Cashier performs cashiering, clerical and receptionist work in recreation facility offices. An incumbent receives and processes cash from patrons and provides information and assistance to the public regarding program activities and registration. The work is performed in accordance with clearly defined policies and procedures and is evaluated by a superior on the basis of accuracy and quality of services rendered.
 
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, ABILITIES AND SKILLS
Candidates must have the ability to work well with other members of the facility staff team and work courteously and effectively with the public in providing factual information and assistance regarding programs, activities and community events. Candidates must have strong problem solving skills.
 
DESIRABLE TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
Completion of Grade 11. Previous customer service, cashiering experience and training is desirable.  Knowledge of Class software, MS Excel and Word would also be beneficial. 
 
This is a regular full-time position involving shift work including days, evenings and weekends for 35 hours per week. 
 
All employees should be prepared to work at any North Vancouver Recreation & Culture location. All candidates are required to submit a Police Information Check as a requirement of the position prior to any appointment. Clearance requires the absence of any criminal charges or convictions related to this position.

Step 1   $21.24
Step 2   $22.04
Step 3   $22.98
Step 4   $23.88
Step 5   $24.81
