Administrative Assistant to the Mayor
Regular Part Time Position
(17.5 hours per week)
The District of Saanich is seeking an experienced administrative assistant who will provide executive administrative, implementation and communications support to the Mayor. This includes maintaining and preparing confidential records and correspondence, undertaking special projects, preparing briefing notes, scheduling meetings and organizing presentations. The position requires a high level of confidentiality, sound judgement, diplomacy, an understanding of the organizations strategic priorities and the ability to thrive in a fast paced environment. The successful incumbent will work closely with and is connected to the Administrative Assistant of the CAO and will provide continuity and coverage when required.
Requirements include two years post secondary education in areas such as business administration, public administration, communications and over four years experience at a senior professional support level. An equivalent combination of education, experience and training in related areas may be considered.
