Learn to Cook / Learn to Bake Instructor
(Non-Union, Casual)

The West Vancouver Community Services Department is currently accepting applications for a Casual Learn to Cook/Learn to Bake Instructor to teach the following children’s programs in Summer 2018:   
 
Learn to Cook:  July 9 - 13:   8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.    July 23 - 27:  8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Learn to Bake:  August 7 - 10:  8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.    August 13 - 17:  1 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
 
In addition, there will be 1 hour of paid shopping time for each week of the program.
 
The preferred candidate will have:

  • experience working with children/youth 
  • experience working in a kitchen and/or have culinary education 
  • current FoodSafe certificate
  • current First Aid, CPR-C and AED certificate

 
The successful candidate must be able to work all hours above and be able to shop for program supplies (a shopping allowance is provided).
 
The successful candidate will be required to supply a criminal record check.

$22.00 per hour + 4% in lieu of benefits
