Bylaw Coordinator

Working as a member of the Legislative Services team, the Bylaw Coordinator’s primary responsibilities include coordinating and tracking bylaw and permit processes, conducting research, writing bylaws and correspondence as well as ensuring bylaws and related processes meet various statutory requirements and time lines. You will also liaise with a wide variety of internal and external customers to provide a high level of customer service.
The successful candidate will have a certificate in Local Government Administration or a related field from a publically accredited post-secondary institution. Five years of progressive administrative work experience with demonstrated responsibility for writing complex administrative documents is also a requirement. Candidates must have general knowledge of local government functions/responsibilities and relevant legislation as well as experience with corporate records management systems. Administrative experience in a municipal setting is considered an asset. Your independent initiative and strong written, research and analytical skills round out your profile. A valid full privilege Class 5 BC Driver’s License is required.
This regular full time position offers a starting wage of $31.48 (under review) per hour plus a comprehensive benefits and pension package.
