Main Purpose and Function
The Cashier Park Board (Beverage Cart Attendant) will deliver food and beverage cart services at the three Vancouver Golf courses locations throughout the summer season, which includes tournaments and peak booking days.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities
This position is responsible for selling food and beverage, for stocking the cart, ordering and replenishing the cart as required, handling cash, processing credit and debit cards, completing a daily inventory and cash reconciliation. The ideal candidates will be expected to exhibit superior customer service skills while serving golf patrons. The position works under the supervision of the Clubhouse Coordinator at each location and as part of the clubhouse operations team. Strict adherence to BC Liquor Licensing Laws is required at all times while working, along with the requirement to drive a golf cart in adherence to all safety rules on the golf course.
Education and Experience:
- Grade 11 minimum education with some cashier experience preferred.
- Experience in service food and beverages and working in an outdoor environment preferred.
- Valid BC Driver's License required.
- Food Safe and Service It Right Certifications required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Knowledge or previous experience in a Golf Course environment preferred.
- Proven performance excellence in a customer service environment and cash handling, reconciliation, and inventory management skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Multi-lingual abilities and asset
- Ability to lift a minimum of 20kg.
A valid BC Driver's Licence is requried. The licence must not include any restrictions that would affect the ability to legally and safely carry out job responsibilities. Transportation arrangements must meet the operational requirements of the Park Board. The successful applicants must be available to work at the various golf course locations.
Food Safe and Serving it Right Certification are required. In accordance with Section 13 of the Liquor Control and Licensing Act and Section 43 of the Regulations, successful completion of “Serving It Right: The Responsible Beverage Server Training program” is a requirement for this position. Candidates must produce proof of successful completion of this program, prior to the commencement of employment.
