Do you enjoy working in a service-oriented environment? At the City of Richmond, we all work together to deliver quality service.
This combined operational and janitorial work performed in a year-round multi-purpose sports arena. As an Arena Service Worker you will be responsible for observing and recording refrigeration plant readings, janitorial duties, cleaning the ice with the ice resurfacer and minor repairs and maintenance throughout the arena. If you have sound knowledge and experience in ice-making and refrigeration, janitorial and building maintenance work in an Arena, ability to work independently with minimal supervision, and strong interpersonal skills, we are looking for you. Your education will include completion of Grade 12 or equivalent, minimum of 1 year of experience in an Arena supplemented by courses in ice-making and refrigeration plus some related experience and a Refrigeration Operator (R.O.) Certification of Qualification from the BC Safety Authority or higher qualification.
