Budget Officer


As a member of the Finance Department, this position plays a role in the Corporation of Delta’s budgeting functions in the preparation and coordination of the annual five-year financial plan.  Along with your strong oral and written communications skills, you are able to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment; you will develop and implement financial policies, design financial reports, and provide financial analysis on a wide variety of issues.
 
The competencies for this position are acquired through a university degree in business administration or commerce along with a Certified Professional Accountant (CPA) designation combined with 5 years progressive experience in accounting, financial planning and budgeting.  Public sector experience and knowledge of the Community Charter are desirable. 
A BC Driver’s license is required.
 
The Corporation of Delta provides a competitive salary ($89,219 - $106,396) and an excellent benefits package including Municipal Pension Plan as well as an earned-days-off system.
