Call For Expression of Interest – Professional Communications Services – Agency of Record and External Communication Strategy
CAMA has recently completed and implemented an Internal Communications Strategy to increase and improve communication with the membership which also included refreshing the CAMA brand. A recent member survey shows a high level of satisfaction with our internal communications.  Therefore, the scope of work for this project will focus primarily on developing an External Communications Strategy and acting as CAMA’s Agency of Record for the next three years to assist with the implementation of the strategy and to support CAMA’s external communications.  The primary objectives are to promote the profession to the general public and to promote key initiatives and public positions.

Our internal communications and brand should only be considered to the extent that they would be affected by any of the recommendations on external communications.  The successful firm must develop a strong relationship with CAMA in support of our strategic objectives.

CAMA is inviting Expressions of Interest from professional communication firms to develop an External Communications Strategy for its organization to promote the profession of municipal administration, key initiatives and public positions to the general public and key audiences.  We are also seeking to enter into an Agency of Record arrangement with the selected firm to assist with the implementation of the strategy and related objectives.    For more information and the Expression of Interest document, visit the CAMA website at: http://www.camacam.ca/en/about/ExpressionsOfInterest.aspThe closing date is Friday, December 21st, 2012 at 3:00 p.m. (Local Time).  If you know of some companies in your area that would be interested in this opportunity, feel free to forward this information along to them.

Invitation for Expression of Interest for Professional Services
The Canadian Association of Municipal Administrators (CAMA) Board of Directors has launched an Expression of Interest as the first stage of an open bidding procedure for professional services required from time to time to assist in the completion of the Strategic Plan and ongoing program implementation. The qualified independent consultant is expected to have expertise and experience in municipal administration and knowledge of the CAMA organization.

Projects may include identifying and promoting best practices through discussion papers and other resources; promoting our profession to external organizations (i.e. schools, municipal intern programs, the media) including the development of promotional literature on municipal government; establishing more formal relationships with international, national and provincial associations; advocating with the federal government on local government issues; and reviewing legislative provisions governing municipal administration across the country.

Interested and qualified individuals are invited to submit an Expression of Interest which shall include a description of qualifications and relevant experience.  Only individuals selected by the Board will be issued a Request for Proposal for each project.

Expressions of Interest can be submitted to Ms. Jennifer Goodine, CAMA Executive Director at [email protected] and will be received from December 14th, 2012 to December 14th, 2013.
