Steelhead Park Maintenance Contract

Request for Proposal 


  1. Qualified tender packages must be submitted, in writing, on the “FORM OF TENDER” provided and delivered, in a sealed opaque envelope clearly marked “STEELHEAD PARK MAINTENANCE CONTRACT”, to the District of Houston office no later than 2:00 p.m. on Friday, March 29, 2019.
  2. The successful bidder(s) must provide the following information prior to starting the contract:
    • Copy of current applicable Business Licence;
    • Proof of Worker's Compensation Coverage indicating account number;
    • Proof of General Liability Insurance (minimum $2,000,000 coverage per occurrence) naming the District of Houston as an Additional Insured;
    • Proof of Vehicle Insurance (minimum $2,000,000 coverage per occurrence);
    • Criminal Records checks on Contractor and all employees.
  3. The contract will commence on April 1, 2019 and expire on October 31, 2023.

  1. The Maintenance Contract involves Lot 1 Plan PRP 41845 District Lot 622 being a total of 6.00 acres, with the following areas part of the Maintenance Contract:

  5. Flower Bed Maintenance (of all beds presently existing in contract area and includes raised flower bed in Fly Rod area and flower beds around the Chamber of Commerce building):

  12. Tables, Benches and Drinking Fountain
