The District of Summerland (the “District”) invites Proposals from Qualified Proponents to submit a Proposal to complete energy audits for 12 of its municipally-owned buildings in order to determine their energy savings and greenhouse gas emission reduction potential as part of the District’s overall Corporate Climate Action Plan Project.
The District’s climate action planning project aims to achieve significant reductions in corporate greenhouse gas emissions. The objective of the Building Energy Audits is to determine the following for the 12 municipal buildings covered in the scope:
- Existing annual energy use in the facility and comparison to similar facilities;
- Energy, GHG emissions, and cost savings potential of various energy conservation and/or mechanical optimization measures;
- Cost estimates for new or modified equipment and other recommended measures;
- Financial analysis of projects costs and savings over the expected life of the measures, including impacts to GHG emissions; and
- A plan for implementation of energy conservation and/or mechanical optimization measures.

This Request for Proposal (RFP) is being issued electronically through the District of Summerland website at https://www.summerland.ca/business-economy/bid-opportunities where any interested Proponent may download the RFP document. It is solely the responsibility of the proponent to ensure that they have obtained, prior to the closing date and time, any Addenda issued by the District. Any Addenda will be posted on the District’s website and the District assumes no responsibility for notifying any proponents of the existence of Addenda.
