Invitation to Tender


Installation of RRFBs at Lougheed Highway and Burnett Street and
raffic Signal Modifications at 240 Street and Dewdney Trunk Road

Project No:  11-5255-40-221
The City of Maple Ridge (CMR) invites tenders for electrical works at these locations:
  • Lougheed Highway and Burnett Street – the work generally consists of installation of CMR supplied rectangular rapid flashing beacons (RRFB) and service kiosk; retrofitting of audible pedestrian push buttons; underground electrical duct construction; supply and installation of pole; concrete in-fills for push button access; median concrete works, crosswalk pavement markings and surface restoration.
  • 240 Street and Dewdney Trunk Road - the work generally consists of traffic signal modifications including supply and installation of base, poles, cables and underground electrical ducts; installation of CMR supplied video detection camera units and traffic cabinet; concrete in-fills for push button access and surface restoration.

Tender submission requires the accompaniment of a Bid Bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total Tender Price and a Consent of Surety to provide a Performance Bond and a Labour and Material Payment Bond if the tender is successful, each in the amount of fifty percent (50%) of the Tender Price.  For technical inquiries, contact Shekib Faizi at Great Northern Engineering Consultants Inc. The City of Maple Ridge reserves the right to reject any or all Tenders or to accept the Tender deemed most favourable in the interests of the City. The lowest or any Tender may not be accepted and the City will not be responsible for any cost incurred by the Tenderer in preparing the Tender.
