Investment & Treasury ManagementGovernment Finance Officers Association of British Columbia
The primary objective of this course is to provide a basic/intermediate overview of an ‘Optimal’ Investment Program. Attendees will leave the Course with a greater understanding of the totality and interconnectedness of the core components of an Investment Program. Key areas of focus will be elaborated upon, in a BC context, to detail best practices. Core sections of the Course include:
- Investment Policy development
- Cash flow forecasting
- Investment strategies
- Risk Management, and
- Performance measurement.
Duration: 1 day (6 verifiable CPD Hours)WHO SHOULD ATTEND:
This Course was designed primarily for local government finance officers who have investment responsibilities. Further, an effective Investment Program will require input from a variety of different personnel. Therefore, Staff involved in cash flow planning and analysis, budget development, risk management, asset management, financial policy development and presentation would benefit from attendance.
