The City of Campbell River is seeking a full-time Operations Manager.
Reporting to the Director of Operations, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Roads and Drainage, Parks, Water, and Wastewater (“public works”) Departments as well as Solid Waste Services. This position will also focus on the short and long term planning for these departments, and will be the lead/liaison for capital works projects related to these areas. Complementing your undergraduate degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Sciences, or a related discipline, you will also:
- Be registered or immediately eligible for registration with Engineers and Geoscientists BC, or as an Applied Science Technologist with the Applied Science Technologists and Technicians of BC.
- Possess seven years of recent, progressive, well rounded experience in a public works environment (roads, transportation, storm drainage, parks operations, water and wastewater operations)
- Possess seven years of recent applied experience with municipal engineering projects, including the design and construction of municipal works and services.
- Have five years of managerial experience including three years of direct supervisory experience.
