The City of Coquitlam is currently recruiting for a regular part-time Telephone Operator – RCMP to join their Civilian Police Services team. This position works weekend shifts, rotating days and afternoons. Job duties include answering incoming calls to the Coquitlam RCMP switchboard, directing callers to the person or department requested, providing routine information and assistance, and performing incidental word-processing and clerical tasks.
The ideal candidate will have experience with telephone reception or switchboard operation along with knowledge of the functions of units within the RCMP. Completion of Grade 12, typing or word-processing courses, and some related experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience are required. The successful candidate is required to obtain and maintain an RCMP Enhanced Reliability Security Clearance.
The CUPE Hourly wage is $22.93 to $26.89 per hour plus a percentage in lieu of benefits.
