Projects Manager - Electrical Utility

Salary Range: $102,444 - $122,364 Annually

The City of Nelson and Nelson Hydro are currently seeking to fill the position of Projects Manager - Electrical Utility.

As a member of the Management Team for Nelson Hydro, the Projects Manager is responsible for the Capital Projects upgrades of the Nelson Hydro Generation, Transmission & Distribution systems. The Manager will demonstrate leadership skills that will assist the department in achieving safe and efficient utilization of staff and equipment and will be responsible for all technical aspects of the job as well as ongoing employee development of staff under their direction (performance evaluations , training plans, hiring} as required. This in turn will assist Nelson Hydro and the City of Nelson to provide our community with exemplary service and help us to become the number one municipality in Canada based on value for service!

Required Qualifications and Experience
As our Projects Manager you would utilize your experience with managing capital construction projects, as well as your experience with designing and estimating customer connections to a utility. If you have a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering with a professional designation, as well as five years of experience in a supervisory capacity and eight years of experience with an electric utility, we would like to hear from you!
