Help Desk Technician
Under the direction of the Director of Human Resources, Safety, and Technology and the supervision of the Lead Hand of Technology, the Help Desk Technician will provide timely and effective resolutions to end-user productivity issues as they relate to IT service computer operations. This will be accomplished by performing question/problem diagnoses guiding users through to issue resolution, communicating technical solutions and conducting end user training where necessary. This position will be integral part of a team of professionals striving to make the City of Nelson the number one Municipality in Canada based on value for service.
Required Qualifications and Experience
If you have a Diploma in Computer Systems Technology from a recognized Educational Institution and have three years recent related experience (or an equivalent combination of education training and experience), we would like to hear from you! This position is part of the CUPE Local 339 Bargaining Unit and has an hourly rate of $32.99 (2019 rates) together with a comprehensive benefits package, including Medical, Dental, Extended Health and Pension.
