The City of Surrey is seeking dynamic, collaborative and innovative Museum Interpreters to join its team at the Historic Stewart Farm, a vibrant heritage venue located within Elgin Heritage Park, along the Nicomekl River. You are detail-oriented and will use your excellent customer service and communication skills interacting with a variety of ages, cultures and groups.

Union – Auxiliary

As a Community Services Assistant 2 - Museum Interpreter, you will:
  • Dress in period costume, deliver interpretive programs, give tours and lead demonstrations and activities.
  • Assist in the development of programs and activities as directed and provide guidance to volunteers.
  • Prepare supplies and equipment for programs, perform light cleaning duties related to exhibits and artifacts and carry out related work as required.

The successful candidate will have:
  • Completion of Grade 12 supplemented by 1 year of relevant experience in community service work or an equivalent acceptable combination of training and experience.
  • A valid Emergency First Aid and CPR Certificate.

  • These positions require completion of a Police Information Check including a Vulnerable Sector Check.
  • Successful applicants must provide proof of qualifications.
