The Township of Spallumcheen is looking for a dynamic and energetic individual to join our Finance team.
You will have considerable experience in finance and accounting processes, preferably in a municipal environment, supplemented by post secondary courses in accounting and business administration, or an equivalent combination of local government training and experience. Considerable knowledge of the fiscal processes for municipal operating programs is required as is knowledge of clerical accounting procedures. Experience with Vadim is an asset. Keyboarding speed of 50 wpm and proficiency with Microsoft Office is also required. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a variety of internal and external contacts and strong customer service skills are required. The required education, training and experience for this position include completion of Grade 12, completion of two years toward a recognized accounting designation (CPA) or equivalent, and three years diverse work experience in accounting.

This is a regular full-time position in the CUPE bargaining unit with a regular work schedule of 35 hours per week. The hourly rate of pay is $29.90 (2020-$30.50). Comprehensive municipal benefits are provided. Interviews will be conducted throughout the process.
