Recreation Program Coordinator (Pinetree)

The City of Coquitlam is currently seeking a dynamic Recreation Program Coordinator with solid skills in delivering community recreation programs. This supervisory position will coordinate the growth and development of recreation programs for early and middle childhood, youth and family. In addition, the work involves training and evaluating staff, evaluating programs and ensuring a high level of customer service.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in community recreation programming in a municipal setting working with a variety of ages, and will have a strong working knowledge of industry trends. Additionally, qualified candidates will have experience training and mentoring volunteers.

The successful candidate will have completed a university or community college program with a degree or diploma in community recreation or related discipline plus sound related supervisory experience, OR an equivalent combination of training and experience. Physical literacy and High Five training are assets. A Driver's License for the Province of British Columbia is required.

The CUPE hourly rate of pay is $30.97 - $36.45. Applicants under consideration will be required to consent to a Police Information Check/Vulnerable Sector Check.
