The City of Quesnel is looking for a Forestry Initiatives Coordinator to join our team. Reporting to the Quesnel Forestry Initiatives Manager, this position will be the backbone of the Forestry Initiatives Program by carrying out: coordination, communications, administration, research, and grant writing functions as well as assisting the Forestry Initiatives Manager, to convene the necessary meetings and associated travel arrangements, involved in the initiative. This position requires collaboration, time management, and exceptional computer and writing skills. Must have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in one or more of the following areas: communications; business; forestry/natural resource management; planning; community and/or regional economic development, with a minimum of 5 years’ work-related experience in communications; business administration; forestry or natural resource management.

This position has a salary range of $55,000 to $65,000, commensurate with education and experience and includes a comprehensive benefit package, Municipal Pension Plan and relocation assistance.
